The Role

We are looking for a permanent, part-time (30 hours per week) Digital Communications and Marketing Manager to join our experienced, passionate communications and marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a Digital Communications and Marketing specialist to help drive digital engagement, run campaigns, lead on digital fundraising, with the aim to increase awareness of the YMCA DownsLink Group's impacts. The role also involves helping to develop the digital marketing strategy and deliver integrated campaigns to increase awareness and improve individual giving.

Working with the Head of Marketing and Communications, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day management and ongoing development of the charity's digital channels.  You will have a strong technical background with a knowledge of digital analytics which will enable us to plan and develop relevant KPI’s. You will also manage the day to day creation of digital content for all our external channels, including our website, social media and e-newsletters.

This role works as a key part of the Fundraising and Communications Directorate supporting our overall strategic goals and inputting/supporting wider teams in the organisation. In addition, you will support the re-development of the charity's website to improve user experience and encourage donations. 

The expected working pattern is four days a week; with a flexible working arrangement, working at least two days onsite at Reed House in Hove. 

Who You Are

We are looking for an individual that has a 'digital first' approach to communications with proficient digital marketing skills and experience of running digital campaigns. You will have a passion for using your digital skills for good; to raise awareness, drive engagement and increase digital fundraising to transform the lives of vulnerable young people. You will also have the ability to work collaboratively in a small team and use your initiative and creativity to create inspiring digital content.

You will already have a broad understanding and experience of all aspects of communications and digital marketing including experience of delivering engaging marketing plans which deliver a return on investment. You will need to be adaptable to move frequently between technical detail and the more creative opportunities required by the role
